Socialising Your Puppy

Dogs don’t spend hours down the pub or attend music concerts with their mates; they do however interact on a unique level with other canines and people. It is essential to promote this interactive behaviour from a very young age.

Training Classes

Most top trainers offer classes for different puppy ages. It is an ideal place for your dog to gain important initial skills and learn to communicate and live with others.

Failing to integrate at a young age can lead to serious behaviour and training problems later in life. Walking can become impossible and routine visits to the vets will become a nightmare. Worst case scenario is that you dog snaps at another canines.

Another useful tool is placing your dog around mature, yet mild mannered pets. These dogs are often breeds such as Labradors, spaniels or collies. The aim is that the dog will teach your puppy proper conduct. This may include little nips or growls to let the youngster know they are in the wrong.

Finally, it is also essential to introduce your dog to various people so they prepared for meeting individuals with different looks and smells. Don’t be afraid to over expose your puppy because the more they can take in the better.
